Ramadaan is a month of immense mercy and reward—but sometimes, we feel like we’re not doing enough. Maybe you’re juggling work, kids, or just feeling drained from fasting. But Allah’s mercy is vast, and even small, sincere deeds can bring huge rewards.
Here are simple acts of worship you can do daily to multiply your rewards without overwhelming yourself!
Keep Your Tongue Moist with Dhikr
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The most beloved words to Allah are four: SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Laa ilaaha illallah, and Allahu Akbar.” (Bukhari)
These words are light on the tongue but heavy on the scales of good deeds!
SubhanAllah (Glory be to Allah) – 100 times morning & evening is like a person who performed Hajj 100 times!
Alhamdulillah (All praise is for Allah)
Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest)
Laa ilaaha illallah (There is no god but Allah) – Great form of remembrance
Astaghfirullah (I seek forgiveness in God) – Many rewards and benefits!
Tip: Say these while cooking, driving, or before sleeping.
Giving Charity – Even Just R5!
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Save yourself from Hellfire even by giving half a date in charity.” (Bukhari)
Donate even a small amount daily (you can even set up an automatic sadaqah donation online!)
Share a meal with someone in need
Smile! Even smiling is a charity
Tip: Keep a small sadaqah jar at home and let kids drop coins in daily.
Sending Salawaat on the Prophet ﷺ
“Whoever sends blessings upon me once, Allah will send blessings upon him ten times.” (Bukhari)
Simple and immensely rewarding! Try saying:
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammad wa ‘ala aali Muhammad
Say 10 times in the morning & evening
While waiting in line, doing housework, or in traffic
Making Dua – Anytime, Anywhere
The fasting person’s dua is never rejected! (Bukhari)
Make specific duas before Iftar and in Suhoor
Ask for everything—big or small
Teach your kids to raise their hands in dua
Tip: Keep a Dua Journal to list your duas for Ramadaan!
Reading Even a Few Verses of the Quran
“The best among you are those who learn and teach the Quran.” (Bukhari)
Even if you’re super busy, try:
Reading just 1 page after each Salah
Listening to Quran recitation while cooking
Playing Tafseer audios while driving
Tip: Use a Quran Tracker to track your progress!
Practicing Patience & Good Manners
Hold back from arguments
Be kind to your family even when fasting gets tough
Say sorry first, even if you’re right
Tip: Make it a habit to say Astaghfirullah (I seek forgiveness) daily.
Praying Tahajjud & Extra Nafl Prayers
Tahajjud is one of the most powerful prayers, especially in Ramadaan!
Wake up just 10 minutes before Suhoor – or finish suhoor early and read before Fajr sets in
Pray 2 rak’aat, even if short
Ask Allah for anything your heart desires
Tip: Keep a list of duas near your prayer mat to stay focused.
Small Deeds, Big Rewards!
You don’t have to do everything perfectly—even the smallest good deed can be your path to Jannah. The key is consistency.
